     Artificial desktop assistants that you can now download on your computer desk top are very different now then they were in the past in at least three ways ; They have more options, they have more functionality, the third thing the newer desktop assistants now have is the ability to learn from you and they  get to know you more uniquely as a person over time  as you interact with them verbally speaking or typing to it directly.

      More options on the new desktop assistants comes in handy in many ways. One program lets you use people putty to add your own character from a picture you can doctor up. This, when merged to your desktop assistant program will make the avatar look like anything you want, a princess, a Borg or a male or female human like administrative assistant ( Secretary),

     More options also includes the editor mode for the program itself. The editor mode allows you to edit the program or create a new program file as a second (brain) for it. this is useful for you if you know how to write computer programs usually in Visual basic language then the functionality lets you add, edit or create a new personality with out loosing the original personality.

 The new desktop assistants also has more functions. Some of the functions include gathering the days news and or weather or stock reports including certain stocks you entered in it. The artificial desktop assistant gathers this information online and gives you a verbal summery of the news or weather or stock report. The desk top assistant can also open any program you ask if you have that program on your computer.

     The most interesting difference in the new desktop assistant is the  ability to learn from you and it  gets to know you more  uniquely as a person over time  as you interact with it either verbally speaking or typing to it directly. It will speak to you and hold a conversation socially and remember what you said by utilizing  deductive reasoning to interact with you intelligently.

   I strongly recommend downloading and using one of the desktop programs, they practically install them selves and really do allot for you all by them selves.
